Welcome to
the Stop Swinford Wind Farm Action Group web site.
Since this site was first
launched back in May we have seen numerous proposals being put
forward for wind farms across our beautiful county.
Sooner or later at least one of these proposals may well
affect you, your family or your friends in some way.
Therefore we urge you not to sit back and let it happen but
help us to help you in the fight against them.
Are you willing to take the risk with our
children's health? - given that no where near enough research
has been done into the impact of turbines being situated so
close to homes and that the research that has been done is
very worrying indeed!
Do you really want this lovely part of the country made into a
place where people can't wait to get away from it, rather than
visit it because of the noise the turbines make?
The possible loss of property value has now been proven by
recent cases/rulings (read the Davis case in the national
articles section). How would you feel if your property
was worth a lot less than the current market value and you
therefore couldn't afford to move away if you didn't like
living in a village surrounded by turbines?
Don't be convinced by Government so called 'Green' propaganda
alone - do your own research - Remember how many people will
be affected if these wind farms go ahead.
As you know, we are a group
working purely through the voluntary involvement of members
and kind financial donations from numerous parties who support
this Group's activities. If you feel you can help us
either with your time or other resources please go to the
